TRUST ADMINISTRATION
Trust administration is the process of transferring assets contained in a living trust to the beneficiaries of the trust and/or to further trusts created to absorb the assets. The Trustee named in the trust is responsible for the administration of the trust, which includes inventorying and appraising assets, paying debts & taxes and distributing the remaining assets. The Trustee is also responsible (and has a fiduciary duty to) manage and account for the assets in the trust. Depending on the trust and its assets, the administration may be simple or it may be complex.
We provide legal services to trustees with the goal of making the process as expeditious and economical as possible.
